I wanted to report back on the plexiform neurofibroma case that I had the opportunity to work with in Ecuador. I have done 2 surgeries on her right upper lid. The first was to reduce the size of the tumor. It was not to remove all of the mass which may have been impossible, but to reduce what I could and to bring the lid into better apposition with the globe. The second surgery was simply a ptosis repair via external levator advancement. It was a bit more difficult than the average due to the floppy nature of the lid.
