Vision Outreach International has a standard MSICS Instruments tray which we have been using for many cataract missions. 

Our basic set includes the following instruments:

 

1.  .12 forcep

2.  Needle holder

3.  Sinskey hook

4.  Irrigating lens vectis

5.  Iris spatula

6.  Straight iris scissors

7.  Vannas scissors

8.  Wescott scissors

9.  Bipolar cautery

10.  Simcoe IA

 

Disposables include:

1.  Blades:  Sideport, Spatula and Keratome

2.  Various cannulas:  25 ga, 30 ga

3.  Viscoelastic

4.  Syringes:  1 cc, 3 cc, 10 cc

 

We then use Lactated Ringers with IV tubing for our fluid.  We use a bipolar cautery unit.
